7Pines Ibiza
Picture this. You and your chosen plus one, reclining on a soft double lounger, sweet cocktail in hand watching the fiery, amber sun sink into the landscape of the Mediterranean Sea. Gentle, aquamarine waves are lapping into the distance as you admire the ambience that surrounds Es Vedra. Set in the bay of Cala Codolar, Ibiza lies the incredible 7Pines Resort. With an adults-only infinity pool, this little piece of paradise is the place to go to escape the parties and madness of Ibiza and relax in undisturbed bliss. Last year we did just that.
As we already had accommodation sorted for this trip we decided to book beds for the day in the pool area. You can still enjoy the luxury and modern style of the resort and all its amenities without having to book and pay for a room. It is best to book beds in advance and arrive early as during peak times this place is a hotspot for Ibiza’s chill-seekers.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with smiles and warmth and were quickly taken to our booked area. We settled into our beds and naturally the cocktail menu was opened in a flash. Not one to be shy of an adventurous beverage I opted for the chilli martini.
Now if you love a view then this is the place to be. The huge infinity pool is on the edge of the cliff and provides a breathtaking view into the ocean. Complete with in water beds and chill out music you can relax here from 10:00-20:00.
The infinity pool bar is my kind of heaven. Serving pizza, burgers, truffle fries and sushi on the menu you can eat by your loungers or take a seat in the shaded pool bar area. I get very hungry in the sunshine and after a few martinis, I was starting to feel snackie. I had some gorgeous truffle fries that were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. You can’t beat chips in the heat. A little later in the day, we headed to the pool bar to order something a little more substantial. Spicy tuna uramaki, shrimp uramaki and some sashimi is the way to my heart and 7Pines did not disappoint. I find sushi such a staple holiday lunch and I never seem to get bored of it. There are also some other restaurants on-site that you can book into however we were quite content by the pool all day. Reading, swimming and of course taking pictures.
Which brings me onto my next point. 7Pines has one of the best photo spots on the island. There is a platform in front of the infinity pool where you can stand and take great shots. I also got some great pictures sitting poolside. Golden hour there seemed to last a lifetime, it was stunning.
Although we didn’t get to stay at the hotel and get the full 7Pines experience I was super impressed with the service here. The staff were so willing to help. I actually needed a nail file randomly during the day and they gifted me an entire Molton Brown beauty bag. So sweet!
Whilst the rooms are a little out of my budget for a week-long stay I will most definitely be returning for the day this summer to relax by that stunning pool. It really is a little taste of Balearic luxury.
